Conservation Planning

Conservation planning is an integral part of the services provided by Anderson Consulting Engineers to the irrigation companies and districts.  Typically, these services focus on improvements to irrigation efficiency as well as operation and management of existing water deliveries.  Efficiency assessments include identification of improvements related to on-farm application and diversion/conveyance facilities.  Improvements generally consist of canal lining, installation of pipelines where feasible, installation of measurement structures, automation of existing facilities, and construction of re-regulation reservoirs.  Services typically provided in support of conservation planning are illustrated by the projects listed below:
