While conducting irrigation system inventories, Anderson Consulting Engineers’ highly qualified field crews obtain specific information related to the integrity and longevity associated with each structure. The results of the inventory identify those structures in need of immediate rehabilitation or replacement. Anderson Consulting Engineers has developed a prioritization routine for rehabilitation/replacement based on several indices related to asset priority, structure condition, and structure class. The process culminates in a prioritized list of improvements and a search for construction funding. Once funding is obtained, design and construction documents are prepared.
The majority of our irrigation work incorporates an inventory of existing facilities and development of rehabilitation plans followed by improvements to specific structures. Representative projects illustrating the results of the system inventory and rehabilitation efforts include the following:
- Midvale Irrigation District Conservation Program, Fremont County, Wyoming
- Big Horn Canal Rehabilitation Project, Big Horn County, Wyoming
- Greybull Valley irrigation District Rehabilitation Project, Big Horn County, Wyoming
